I have always had such big dreams and goals in my life, but often when I’ve decided to buckle down and pursue them, I would push myself so hard that I'd burn out, needing to take long breaks to recover and ultimately keeping me stuck in a cycle of trying and failing to achieve those goals.
It happened in high school when I was on both the swim team and acting in the school play, every year and getting bronchitis right before the week of swim championships and the final show.
It happened in college, burning out and getting sick every finals season.
It even happened in grad school and then while I was starting my business, ending up with a thrown out back, illness, or complete overwhelm rendering me incapacitated to pursue any sort of goal.
And while I had some successes in each stage along the way, I knew that I wasn't living up to my fullest potential.
But I didn't know what to do! I couldn't push myself any harder – if I did, I would certainly burn out completely and not be able to get back on the wagon at all.
The answer came down to:
1. My mindset – but more than that, the embodiment of a high performance mindset (not just slapping on a few affirmations and calling it good).
2. My health – and not just eating 'healthy foods' and exercising, but actually optimizing the foods I was eating and the habits I needed for my unique body.
I simply couldn't continue going after my goals without embodying the right mindset and finally figuring out my health.
And it wasn't just about hyping myself up in the morning to have the right mindset – if I was actually going to live each day from a place of purpose and fulfillment, actually accomplishing what I set out to accomplish, I had to truly change the way I was operating.
I had to change my day-to-day habits.
I had to heal my relationship with my body.
I had to regulate my nervous system.
I had to transform the way I was currently eating.
I had to release the self-sabotage patterns that kept me playing small.
So I utilized what I had learned in undergrad (Biopsychology, Cognition & Neuroscience) and grad school (Health Behavior & Health Education), combined with the trainings and certifications I had gleaned in traditional healing modalities like Ayurveda, and created my signature coaching program, Happy Healthy Habits.
And I'm not the kind of person who teaches things without first embodying them herself. I am constantly working the habits and the principles inside HHH, and I am constantly seeing the fruits of that labor come into my reality – my relationship with food and my body is completely transformed, I have abundant energy each and every day, I continue to set and reach goals in my personal and work life, and I haven't burned out in years.
I only teach what I've already implemented for myself, so you can rest assured that this stuff WORKS.
Now I get to help clients from all over the world change their habits, optimize their nutrition, regulate their nervous systems, and rewire their subconscious mind for success.
And I get to witness lives transform every single day.
